I thought I would move this info from the other forum to this one. Since PSUD2 is a Windows app I would assume many Linux users would want to run it as well so this thread may be useful.
I thought I would try build 80. Unzipped the file and clicked the exe and it installed ok. Clicked on the app icon and it popped right up.
I chose the default power supply and picked simulate. A list of options appeared in less then a second along the left side. I turned them all on picked simulate and the graph populated in under a second. Build 80 runs like lightning on my Fedora/Plasma system. Build 79 did too. I then brought up the big demo example and turned on all 32 check-boxes to see how long it would take to run and graph. Took about 0.98 seconds.
The only complaint is that the line that has the settings for simulation times needs more space between the text and boxes and the boxes for the settings need to be a couple characters wider, maybe four just to be safe. I may try changing the font to see if I can get a slightly smaller font to fit in the layout of the settings line. What font and size is expected to be there when this is running on Windows?
I am running an up to date Fedora 42 on an old 8-core AMD processor in a 10 year old system. The desktop is the latest Plasma on Wayland. The display card is an old nVidia GeForce driving a 4K Visio TV. I am using the latest WINE-HQ build available in my repositories. I did not touch any WINE settings or configuration. Just unzipped the EXE, installed it and clicked on the desktop icon. My WINE config defaults to Windows 10 compatibility.
My experience is positive. I am using the WINE-HQ version of WINE, instead of the older WINE most people seem to be running.
