I'm running SUSE Linux 9 with Gnome. The Linux install file I've downloaded for TSC doesn't seem to be a recognised format. For RedHat and SUSE (the two most widely used distros) it needs to be in RPM format. I'm not sure what this one is, but it sure doesn't look like an RPM. Any chance of making an RPM for this. I'm afraid I'm not a code developer these days, so I don't think I'm up to building my own. Thanks!!! |

Hi Zaphod,
where did you get the Linux-version from?
Not from duncanamps i guess, or did i miss something?
To run WINDOWS-Programms under Linux you need to install WINE first.

Michel, I would think Zaphod got it from the following link
http://www.duncanamps.com/tsc/linux.html
The TSC seemed to work well but needed various libraries on the target machine (i.e. qtlib) before it would work at all.
Can you tell I'm not very good at this Linux stuff?

Zaphod, I'm not all that good on Linux and the TSC hasn't been updated in that format for some time.
The file is a gzip which shows up errors when I try and get it off the website with WinZip.
Unfortunately, I don't have a Linux machine these days so I can't even troubleshoot where the problem is. Might be a good idea to try an emulator and see if this works OK, or failing that try and run it on a Windows machine. _________________ Duncan Munro |

I can't run it too... QT 2.0 is obsolete, current version is 3.5+
it needs recompiling with newer version |
